Bangladesh Trade Summit 2021 started
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the Bangladesh Trade and Investment Summit 2021 on October 28 by joining the Bangabandhu International Conference Center through video conferencing from the Ganobhaban.
The Prime Minister said Bangladesh will be able to attract the desired investment through this summit.
She said, “Through this conference, for trade and investment, domestic and foreign industrial entrepreneurial business investors will be able to know in detail about the potential in all sectors of Bangladesh. New doors of Bangladeshi products will be opened in the world market. Exports will increase. Bangladesh will be able to attract the desired investment.”
In her speech, the Prime Minister called for doing everything digitally in Digital Bangladesh.
She said, “Digital Bangladesh has been developed now. So now we want everything to be digital, modern, technological.”
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and PM's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman Fazlur Rahman spoke in the program as special guests.
552 organizations from 38 countries will take part in the conference organized at Bangabandhu International Conference Center. Among these institutions, IT or ITES, Fintech institutions are getting predominance.
At this year's summit, there are 281 domestic and 271 foreign companies. The week-long summit will feature 450 B2B (Business to Business) meetings.
